Transportation Broker, Heat Treating
Tico Inc. Provides the pallet heat treatment required for the International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures, (ISPM #15) through two, state of the art, turn key, pallet kilns. All pallets, skids, crates, and dunnage that are treated by Tico Inc. have been heated to a minimum of 56 degrees Celsius core temperature for a minimum of 30 minutes. Electronic reports are generated to document every two minutes of the Heat Treatment process. These reports are available on every load treated by Tico Inc.
Semi load quantities of pallets and crates vary in cycle time from two to five hours on average, depending on ambient temperature and size of material to be treated. Six probes sampling core temperature throughout the kiln ensure fail-safe heat treatment cycles. Kilns are 13' 6" wide by 48' long. They are versatile enough for new or used pallets of all sizes and species. Moisture control is available as well upon request. As a transportation broker we can also deliver direct to you.
The pallet heat treatment and pallet certification process is conducted in accordance with the standards set by the American Lumber Standards Committee. Tico Inc. is audited monthly in accordance to these standards by Package Research Laboratories. Facilities, certifying equipment, and records are checked and verified to be in compliance with every monthly visit. All equipment is calibrated annually to ensure accuracy. Tico Inc.'s pallet heat treatment credentials have been in place through Package Research Laboratories since 2001. Tico Inc. has stamp certified over 11,000,000 board foot since that time.
